I don't know why. Maybe it's midlife, maybe it's that I have the most adorable, amazing, cute son that god has ever put on this planet. But lately I have been jonesing for a camera. Not a point and shoot and here is a picture of the cat doing something cute (esp my cat who does absolutely nothing cute, but tried to bite Cheryl the other day because she was tickling Aiden so much he was screeching) but an honest to god Camera.
My first thought, being the geek that I am was "A Digital SLR" like the Canon EOS Digital Rebel (300D). But whoa! those are pricey (just came down to $700). and not as full featured as a regular 35mm film camera at 1/2 to 1/3 of the price.
Since I am a closet luddite I started thinking about film and taking a look at some consumer end 33mm SLRs like the
Canon EOS Rebel T2/K2/GII.
Am I out of my mind for going "back" to film? Am I really a Luddite or just insane?
